SILASTIC 5-8733
Harmonization Code : 2901.10.00.00 | Acyclic hydrocarbons; Saturated

Main features
- Fuel-Resistant Fluorosilicone Chemistry
- One-Part Cartridge Application
- 190% Cured Elongation
Product Description
DOWSIL 5-8733 Fluorosilicone Sealant is a gray, one-part moisture-curing sealant for bonding, sealing, and caulking where resistance to documented fuels, solvents, and chemicals is required. The ready-to-use paste is supplied in a 225 g cartridge and has a typical specific gravity of 1.4. After cure, typical commercial properties include 46 Shore A hardness, 400 psi tensile strength, and 190% elongation. Its fluorosilicone chemistry supports aerospace, automotive, and industrial sealing evaluations involving jet fuel, gasoline, or solvent exposure, provided the exact substrate, fluid, concentration, temperature, duration, cure, and joint configuration are validated.
Key features
- One-part cartridge application: Ready-to-use gray paste in a 225 g package
- Fuel and solvent resistance: Supports sealing evaluations under documented chemical-exposure conditions
- 190% cured elongation: Typical commercial value for the cured fluorosilicone
Applications
Bonding, sealing, and caulking in aerospace, automotive, and industrial assemblies exposed to validated jet-fuel, gasoline, solvent, or chemical conditions.
