PERMABOND UV643
Harmonization Code : 3907.30.00.40 | Epoxy Mold Compounds containing by weight more than 70 % silicon dioxide

Main features
- Sub-Second High-Intensity Fixture
- Thixotropic Rigid-Plastic Bonding
- Hot-Wet Strength Retention
Product Description
Permabond UV643 is a thixotropic, extremely fast urethane-acrylate adhesive for UV bonding of rigid plastics and metal-to-plastic assemblies. It cures tack-free across 365 to 420 nm and bonds polycarbonate, PMMA, PETG, PET, ABS, and rigid PVC under the specified process conditions. Typical fixture time is under 1 second with the listed 330 mW/cm^2 mercury lamp or 400 nm, 150 mW/cm^2 LED, and 19 seconds at 0.1 mW/cm^2. Cured data include 23 N/mm^2 tensile strength, 50% elongation, and retained polycarbonate shear strength after four weeks at 85 deg C and 85% RH.
Key features
- Thixotropic Application Control: Viscosity is 2,000 mPa s at 20 rpm and 17,600 mPa s at 2 rpm.
- Sub-Second High-Intensity Fixture: Typical fixture time is under 1 second with the listed high-intensity UV lamp conditions.
- Hot-Wet Strength Retention: Polycarbonate shear strength remained 13 N/mm^2 after four weeks at 85 deg C and 85% RH.
Applications
Applications include fast bonding of PC, PMMA, PETG, PET, ABS, rigid PVC, and supported metal-to-plastic combinations.
