PERMABOND TA4610
Harmonization Code : 3907.30.00.40 | Epoxy Mold Compounds containing by weight more than 70 % silicon dioxide

Main features
- Underwater Structural Bonding
- Primer-Free Polyolefin Assembly
- Microparticle-Controlled 1 mm Gaps
Product Description
Permabond TA4610 is a two-part, 1:1 toughened acrylic adhesive for polypropylene, polyethylene, metals, composites, and dissimilar-material assemblies. It bonds low-surface-energy plastics without primer or surface treatment and supports water-resistant and underwater bonding. The thixotropic system contains microparticles for a maximum 1 mm gap. At 23 deg C, typical pot life is 5 to 8 minutes, fixture strength develops in 12 to 15 minutes, and handling strength in 40 to 50 minutes. Working strength develops in 6 to 8 hours, with cured shear strengths of 15 N/mm^2 on HDPE and 13 N/mm^2 on epoxy FRP.
Key features
- Underwater Bonding Capability: Supports underwater bonding and water-resistant assemblies.
- Primer-Free PP and PE: Bonds polypropylene and polyethylene without primer or surface treatment.
- Microparticle Gap Control: Microparticles provide 1 mm maximum gap control for assembled joints.
Applications
Applications include underwater or water-resistant bonding, polypropylene and polyethylene assembly, and bonding metals, composites, and dissimilar substrates.
