PERMABOND TA459
Harmonization Code : 3907.30.00.40 | Epoxy Mold Compounds containing by weight more than 70 % silicon dioxide

Main features
- 20-40 Second Steel Fixture
- 20-25 N/mm2 Steel Shear
- Non-Corrosive Copper Bonding
Product Description
Permabond TA459 is a no-mix toughened acrylic structural adhesive for bonding metals, ferrites, ceramics, and selected thermoplastics. It is used with Initiator 41 or 41M, or Initiator 43 for plastics, with the initiator applied to one surface and adhesive to the other. The thixotropic formulation fills gaps up to 0.5 mm, fixtures gap-free mild steel in 20-40 seconds at 23 deg C, and reaches working strength in 3-5 minutes. After 24 hours at 25 deg C, typical steel shear strength is 20-25 N/mm2. The acid-free formulation is non-corrosive to sensitive copper and conductive surfaces.
Key features
- 20-40 Second Fixture: Fixtures gap-free mild steel in 20-40 seconds at 23 deg C.
- No-Mix Initiator Process: Uses separate adhesive and initiator application without premixing.
- Non-Corrosive Conductive-Surface Bonding: Acid-free formulation supports sensitive copper and conductive surfaces.
Applications
Applications include structural bonding of metals, ferrites, ceramics, selected thermoplastics, and sensitive conductive surfaces with the specified initiator.
