Product Description
Permabond QFS16 is a colorless cyanoacrylate activator for shortening set time on closely mated parts, porous surfaces, gaps, and wire-tacking assemblies. It is applied to one component by wiping, spraying, or dipping and allowed to evaporate before adhesive is placed on the untreated surface. With a 100 cP ethyl-2-cyanoacrylate at 23 deg C, typical set time is 5 seconds on gap-free steel and 40-60 seconds across a 5 mil gap. The formulation also reduces stress cracking, surface discoloration, and adhesive frosting on supported plastic parts.
