PERMABOND ET5147

Main features

  • 2 mm Structural Gap Filling
  • Extended 40-60 Minute Pot Life
  • FDA 175.105 Formulation

Product Description

Permabond ET5147 is a two-part, 2:1 epoxy adhesive for structural bonding of metal, wood, composites, and certain plastics. Its controlled-flow formulation fills gaps up to 2 mm, while a 40-60 minute pot life at 23 deg C provides assembly time before handling strength develops in 3-5 hours. Full cure is reached in 72 hours at 23 deg C or 1 hour at 60 deg C. Typical cured performance includes 18-20 N/mm2 shear strength on mild steel and 40-70 N/25 mm peel strength on aluminum. The formulation is made to meet FDA 175.105 requirements.

Key features

  • 2 mm Gap Fill: Fills structural bond gaps up to 2 mm.
  • Extended Pot Life: Provides 40-60 minutes of usable life at 23 deg C.
  • FDA 175.105 Formulation: Specifically formulated to meet FDA 175.105 requirements.

Applications

Applications include structural bonding of metal, wood, composites, and certain plastics where controlled flow, gap filling, and FDA 175.105 adhesive positioning are required.
