- Eight-Hour Mixed Working Life
- Visible Red Coverage
Product Description
PERMABOND 2K Primer is a two-component, red liquid surface treatment for preparing metal, glass, plastic, and composite substrates before bonding with engineering adhesives. The mixed primer has a typical viscosity of 1 mPa s and specific gravity of 1.0, allowing a thin, visible coating that indicates surface coverage. Its mixed working life is 8 hours, and unopened material has a 24-month shelf life when stored at 5-25 deg C. It is used before compatible epoxy, acrylic, polyurethane, and other engineering adhesive systems; the primer itself does not form the bonded joint.
Key features
- Visible red coverage: The red liquid provides a visual indication of primer wetting and surface coverage.
- Low-viscosity application: A typical viscosity of 1 mPa s supports thin surface treatment.
- Eight-hour mixed life: The combined primer remains usable for up to 8 hours.
Applications / Suitable for
- Preparing metal and glass surfaces before adhesive bonding
- Preparing plastic and composite surfaces
- Use before compatible epoxy, acrylic, and polyurethane adhesive systems
